Tiding Over The Girl Child

In honour of Selma Martha Obanewo-Richking .d. November 27, 2024

A Tribute to Selma Martha Obanewo-Richking

" Kind, humble, elegant, and simple — Selma Martha's greatest desire was to do more for God and for humanity. The girl child was always on her heart. Long before there was a formal structure, she had it all written out — every program, every community, every girl she planned to reach. On November 27, 2024, she left this world. But her plan, her mission, and her love did not leave with her. We are here. We are building. She was right — there is always more we can do."

We hold the line until she can hold it herself.

The SMOR Foundation exists to be present at the most critical moments of a girl's life — with the right support, at the right time.

A scholarship that keeps her in school. A health clinic that reaches her door. A skill that puts income in her hands.

This was Selma Martha's vision. This is our mandate.

Three Bridges. One Mission.

Educating her mind. Nourishing her body. Empowering her future.

Roots & Wings Economic Empowerment

"See her when she is small. Train her at home. Discipline her with love. Invest in her without hesitation. Because the girl you shape today is the woman who will shape the world tomorrow."

Mission Statement

Our mission is to reach the girl child where she is — in her home, her community, her struggle — and walk with her toward a better life.

Through education, health, and economic empowerment, we build the bridges she needs to cross from where she is to where she deserves to be.

Every girl matters. Every girl has something the world needs. And every one of us who can do something about it — must."

Our Mission

To provide strategic investment, charity, and empowerment programs that tide over the girl child — elevating the standard of living for economically disadvantaged girls, women, and families.

Our Belief

We believe in the power of education, economic empowerment, and holistic wellbeing to transform lives and communities.

Our Vision

Every girl child — educated, nourished, and empowered — standing on the other side of the bridge, reaching back for the next one.

Anchored in Honour, Compassion, Integrity, and Impact — the values Selma Martha lived by and the standard every decision in this Foundation is measured against.

Our values

Carry this Vision Forward.

To give to this Foundation is to complete something Selma Martha started. She spent her last days dreaming of girls she would never meet. Your support ensures her dream reaches them.
